Palkia (Japanese: パルキア Palkia) is a Water/Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon. It is the "version mascot" of Pokémon Pearl, appearing on the boxart. It has the Pressure Ability; its signature move is Spacial Rend, and its other moves may include Aqua Tail, Draco Meteor, and Dragon Claw.
Biology
Palkia is described as a deity/god in Sinnoh-region creation mythology. It is said to live in a gap in the spatial dimension parallel to ours. Referred to as the Spatial Pokémon, a palkia has the ability to distort space. This power could be likened to the Dune Trilogy's "folding space": a kind of teleporting in which the subject does not move, but rather moves its destination toward itself.
Physiology
Palkia looks like a dinosaur, just like Dialga, as it stands upright and possesses wings, although it does not possess the ability to fly more than a couple feet off the ground. It has plates on its shoulder area, where two pink pearls reside. A palkia has a long neck and a powerful tail.
