Pokémon Ruby
Pokemon Ruby is similar to Sapphire in many ways and very different in some ways too. Such as Ruby only has Groudon, Seedot and Mawile.
Starter Pokémon
The starter pokemon are Treeko, Mudkip and Torchic. You receive these from Professor Birch when he is being attacked by a Poocheyena. Treeko evolves into Grovyle at level 16 and then to Sceptile at level 36. Mudkip evolves into Marshtomp at level 16 and then Swampert at level 36. Torchic evolves into Combusken at level 16 and then Blaziken at level 36.
Exclusives
You get to battle pretty much everyone from Team Magma.You also get a special navigator that tells you if you have won any ribbons, the trainers you've battled and where they are and a map. It is called a Pokénav. You can also use a move called Hidden Power to create a secret base. Double Battles allow you to use 2 Pokémon at once against 2 people with 1 Pokémon each.
