Chapter 34: And Mewtwo Too!? is a chapter in the RGB Arc in Hidenori Kusaka's Pokémon Adventures.

Full Summary

Blaine dreams about the great explosion in his laboratory as Mewtwo escaped; waking, he experiences intense pain in his right arm. Looking toward Cerulean City, he and his Rapidash ride off in search of Blaine's greatest creation...

Meanwhile, Red has heard about the devastation of Cerulean City by a "monster." He contacts Bill, who warns him not to get cocky and take the monster on just because he defeated Team Rocket, but it's too late: Red is already at Cerulean City, intending to investigate it. He goes to Cerulean Cave, where Mewtwo is said to have hid after the attack. Upon arriving there, Red notices that the nearby trees are twisted. They aren't burned or crushed at all.

Entering Cerulean Cave, Red sees that his Pokémon feel uncomfortable. Before anything can be done about this, a huge twister appears, catching all of them inside. Red tells his Pokémon to hold on to each other, securing them momentarily while he reaches for his pokéballs. However, Red's pokéballs have been blown away by the twister, and unable to hold on any longer, his Pokémon's grips are broken. Suddenly, Blaine appears, providing empty pokéballs for Red to put his Pokémon in.

Blaine states that his goal is to hunt down the "beast of Cerulean City" and Blaine orders his Rapidash to use Fire Spin, but the move fails. As pointed out by Blaine, the tornado is actually a twister of psychic energy generated from Psywave, preventing harm from coming to the Pokémon who created it: Mewtwo. Mewtwo attempts to quickly attack Blaine and Red from behind.

Blaine then explains that, because of a lack of Mew cells, Mewtwo couldn't be finished properly. Blaine had to use cells from himself—his right arm—in order to complete the creature, but somehow Mewtwo's DNA got intermixed with Blaine's, causing his arm to mutate grotesquely. The mutation is also killing Blaine. Because of this, Blaine feels that he has absolutely nothing to lose, and wants to stop Mewtwo before his time runs out, and because the mutation in his arm senses Mewtwo's presence, Blaine is the best person available to stop Mewtwo.

Blaine orders his Rapidash to summon a wall of fire to guard Red as Blaine charges alone at the twister, despite Red's frantic protests.
